Care of your Cannonball Trumpet

Cleaning- Take out valves and slides and wipe off with soft rag. Place trumpet, slides and valves in warm (not hot!) water and dish soap in bathtub. Use trumpet snakes to clean out pipes. Be careful cleaning valves. Grease slides and oil valves and reassemble. Do this about once a month.

Never use rods with cloth attached to clean valves, it can bend the metal and cause the valves not to work properly.

Keep valves well oiled in between cleanings.

Keep slides well greased in between cleanings.

*Please note that placing the trumpet in an acid bath will ruin the stones
