"I have been using my Big Bell Cannonball tenor for almost a year now. It has gone beyond my expectations.
I first heard about it from my long time friend Skip Mesquite. I was looking for a second horn for backup and I called Skip. I went to
his house and he has a recording studio up stairs. He said "play your Selmer tenor and I will record it, then play my Cannopnball
Big Bell". I did, and couldn't believe the difference, the Cannonball had a way bigger sound, was brighter and just felt better. The
Cannonball weighs more than my Mark VI, but didn't take long to get used to, it is built to last and really holds up on the road.
I did over fifty concerts world wide using the Big Bell in my band "Family Stone Experience". Recently I used it to play a t the
2006 Grammy Award ceremony where they did a tribute to "Sly And The Family Stone" of which I am a founding member.
To my surprise, when I got to the rehearsal at Staple Center, there was one of the best saxophone players in music today,
Gerald Albright, he had three Cannonball horns with him, including his own Gerald Albright "Signature " horn. As you know
I have more of your Cannonball horns on order, I am using them for main, and backup now and keeping am my Selmer
horns as "collector's "
