We searched for the perfect bore size to facilitate a great air column. Speaking generally the bore is medium-large, however there are variations in tube diameter
across the instrument which create a comfortable degree of resistance as well as align pitch for great slotting. The slotting on a Cannonball trumpet is superior
and maintains a player's freedom to affect pitch variation at will.
