After our trumpets are assembled and finished, they are shipped to our brand new 12,000 square foot facility in Sandy, Utah - 15 miles outside of Salt Lake City.
This is where the most important part of Cannonball happens. It is in Utah that we add the stones and hand customize each instrument to ensure
quality and consistency.
Our trumpet expert Kelly Ricks, who is a graduate of The Juilliard School, has also learned the art of acoustical adjustment. She plays each
and every horn to adjust air flow and monitors the consistency of manufacturing. She then checks and adjusts pitch, resistance, slotting, and especially
the depth and quality of sound.
You really can say that every Cannonball is a "Custom Instrument" as they have all truly been hand customized. A Cannonball trumpet never
leaves Salt Lake City until it surpasses all expectations and is so fun to play it is hard to put down. Kelly comments,
"I would be able to take any one of these horns to any gig and be totally comfortable that the horn would perform for me."
