The hand-hammered one piece Big Bell® projects a bold, clear sound with body and depth, yet is versatile for many situations and styles.
The bore size prioritizes a large air column while maintaining superb facility. While nominally a Medium Large bore, there are variations in the tube diameter across the instrument which create a comfortable degree of resistance as well as aligning pitch for great slotting.
The long, undisturbed air column created by a reverse leadpipe allows for outstanding fluidity and exceptional intonation.
Cannonball® 727 B♭ professional trumpets feature Monel piston valves. Monel is a malleable metal alloy that insures smooth and long-lasting action. The metal rearranges its shape with every stroke to insure a proper, tight fit and alignment with its casing. Monel resists pitting and corrosion. Beautiful, semi-precious stone finger buttons are a novel part of each Cannonball trumpet.

Each 790RL professional trumpet is embellished with fine and intricate hand engraving. The artisans at our facility in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA have studied the art of trumpet engraving from the mid 1900s and add pioneering techniques, creating stunning designs that preserve and promote this jeweler’s art. These masterful engravings turn each trumpet into a unique piece of art in itself.

Acoustical Customizing is the most important thing that happens to each Cannonball® trumpet. This work goes above and beyond expectations. Specially trained and talented acoustical adjusters work on each trumpet, adjusting the bore, air flow and more until they are satisfied that each horn has an open feel, effortless slotting, and a focused and resonant tone. When you pick up a Cannonball® trumpet, we want you to love it as much as our acoustical technicians love it. We want you to say, “I can’t put this horn down!”
"Throughout my career I rarely have changed equipment or been swayed by the 'newest thing'. Cannonball® Trumpets have changed my mind. They are wonderfully consistent in sound, feel and intonation. I am amazed how great the sound is from the lower register to the high. The intonation and slotting of the high register is superb. I feel comfortable on these horns whether I'm playing lead in a session or in a classical chamber group." ~ Trevor NeumannSEE ALL OF OUR ARTISTS
